This recipe for Crockpot Spaghetti and Meatballs is an easy way to enjoy a traditional Italian dish. All the work is done by the slow cooker, which makes juicy meatballs and perfectly cooked spaghetti in a rich marinara sauce.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 24 oz jar marinara sauce
- 8 oz spaghetti noodles, uncooked
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter
Pour marinara sauce into the slow cooker
Add meatballs to the sauce
Pour water over the meatballs
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours
About 30 minutes before serving, stir in uncooked spaghetti noodles
Cover and continue cooking until noodles are tender
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top before serving
